Iranian opposition President  Maryam Rajavi  of the National Council of Resistance of Iran ( NCRI ) welcomed the new year and delivered a speech analyzing the past 12 months and providing a perspective for the year ahead. Mrs. Rajavi iterated the problems that different segments of the Iranian population are facing, including teachers, workers, farmers and more. “In the final moments before the turn of the year, we are standing with Iran’s workers whose table spreads are empty. We are standing beside the farmers whose farms are dry and dehydrated. We are standing with the honorable teachers of Iran who are discriminated against and humiliated, who have been doomed to live under the poverty line, and wh...

Seyed Yousef Tabatabaie Nejad, representative of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Isfahan, central Iran Seyed Yousef Tabatabaie Nejad, representative of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Isfahan and Friday prayer imam of this city of central Iran expressed grave concerns over the increasing activities and measures of Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran ( PMOI/MEK ) in line of toppling the mullahs’ regime. “Media channels and outlets that insult the state are taking steps in line with the objectives of the world arrogance and the  monafeqin, ” he said, using a term used by Iranian regime officials for the PMOI/MEK. “It is quite possible that the [PMOI/MEK] are behind many of the [social media] channels launched in Isfahan because they are aiming to target the clergy… the enemy has various media outlets inside the country and abroad. They are allocating a considerable budget and have high planning capabilities, aiming to deceive ...

Iran Used US to Destroy Iraq

Image
The Iranian government used George W. Bush and Barack Obama to promote its own interests and now Donald Trump is left to deal with the fallout. Bush was warned that Iran was the major threat in the Middle East, not Iraq; that the mullahs would make life hell for US troops if he invaded Iran; and that Iran wanted to take control of Iraq. But why? Well, Iraq was home to a group exiled from Iran, the People’s Mujahadeen of Iran ( PMOI/MEK ), who were fighting for a free Iran. The MEK has been a great threat to the continued rule of the mullahs since the early 1980s, which is why they’ve executed over 120,000 MEK members and smeared them as terrorists in the Western media. So when tensions between Iraq and the US flared up, Iran saw its opportunity. They used Ahmad Chalabi, an Iran-backed Iraqi politician, fed the US misleading information about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction and offered to help the US meet with the head of Iran’s intelligence service. This led to the bom...

Zarif fuming over escalating global credibility of Iranian opposition PMOI/MEK

Iranian regime Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif The Iranian regime’s atrocious report card of supporting international terrorism and being the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism came to haunt the mullahs’ Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif during his visit to Germany for the Munich Security Conference on Sunday. Reporters asked Zarif about European sanctions against Tehran over the mullahs’ terror campaign on their soil, especially through the course of 2018. Constantly dodging questions over the Iranian regime’s bombing and assassination plots across Europe during the past year, Zarif, as always, resorted to old lies to justify these heinous measures and signaled the source of Tehran’s main concerns. “The United States is listening to the wrong folks… what is clear is that there are people in Europe who have been on Europe’s terrorism list up until 2012. What happened all of a sudden that they were withdrawn from the terrorism list?... In 1998, the U.S. put th...

IRANIAN AUTHORITIES WORRY OVER UPRISINGS AND THE PMOI/MEK

Image
By Mahmoud Hakamian This past Sunday, on the anniversary of the “Ashura uprising” that occurred in December 2009, when thousands of Iranians took to the streets in several cities and confronted security forces in heavy clashes, the regime held “anti-demonstrations” — government organized gatherings arranged to prevent protests from breaking out. Despite government efforts, the events drew few attendants besides agents of the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij. High-ranking Iranian officials made remarks at the occasion that displayed the tension the regime is experiencing over the continuing protests across the country, as well as the role played by the Iranian opposition. For instance, Ali Larijani, the Speaker of the Iranian regime’s parliament, warned, “Opportunists and anti-revolutionaries want to take advantage of the political turmoil inside the country,” when he spoke on the occasion of the Ashura uprising. “The opponents of the revolution are seeking an opport...

Iran: Khamenei’s reps worried over 2019 overthrow plans

Supporters of the Iranian opposition PMOI/MEK holding sings that reads "I will overthrow"  A large portion of the remarks made by Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in his meeting with a slate of senior regime figures on December 12 focused on warnings about the possibility of their regime being overthrown in 2019 and the pillar role played by the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran ( PMOI/MEK ). He placed his regime and forces on full alert, calling on them to be aware of such a plot in 2019. Khamenei is, in fact, looking to set his low morale regime on high alert, seeking to bring an end to all such rifts that are threatening the very pillars of his rule. Following Khamenei’s remarks, Friday prayer imams in various cities across Iran – considered as his representatives – referred to his remarks and warned about the “enemy” and the overthrowing plots blueprinted for 2019. “We must be very aware in 2019 because these threats in...
