Steel mill retirees rallying in Isfahan, central Iran  IRAN NEWS 3/10/2019 Reported by PMOI/MEK Iran, March 10, 2019  - Following a week of a variety of  protests  reported from dozens of cities across the country, especially a  three-day nationwide teachers strike , Sunday witnessed more such rallies in a number of major Iranian cities. A large number of retired steel mill workers rallied in Isfahan, central Iran, protesting not receiving their insurance pensions and New Year bonuses from March 2018. Gathering outside the Isfahan Province governor’s office, a large number of state police and plainclothes agents were also dispatched to the scene to create a climate of fear and intimidate the protesters. Ahvaz – Families of arrested National Steel Group workers protesting for their release Reported by PMOI/MEK Iran, Dec. 25, 2018  - Truckers in numerous cities of Iran are on a new nationwide strike, the fifth to this day, protesting high tire prices and low wages. Tuesday marks the fourth day of this latest protest movement. Reports indicate Iranian regime authorities have ordered empty trucks on the roads from Zahedan to Taftan in southeast Iran to claim there is no such strike and this protest movement has ended. On Monday, the  strike  was witnessed in dozens of cities, including  Tehran, Sari, Sanandaj, Dorud, Kangavar, Bushehr, Isfahan, Bandar Abbas, Malayer, Yazd, Ardakan, Urmia, Neyshabur, Sabzevar, and Chermahin.  This movement has now reached 31 cities in 21 of Iran’s 31 provinces. Iranian teachers in   numerous   cities began the second day of their nationwide strike On Wednesday, Iranian teachers in numerous cities began the second continuous day of their nationwide strike. The strikes began yesterday in protest to the deteriorating living conditions, suppression of teachers, high inflation rates and declining purchasing power of Iranian consumers. The teachers are also demanding that the regime stops discrimination against working and retired teachers. The Iranian regime has arrested and incarcerated several teachers for standing up to their rights. The strike follows several similar strikes by teachers in the past months and is happening against the backdrop of nationwide protests and strikes by different classes of the Iranian society that have been ongoing since the beginning of the year. Truckers in cities across Iran are launching a new round of strikes Truckers in cities across Iran are launching a new round of strikes, protesting not receiving answers to their demands and seeking the release of their arrested colleagues. In Najafabad, central Iran, truckers are on strike according to a previously made announcement encouraging all drivers to park their vehicles and launch a nationwide protest movement.
