Iran pledges Syria reconstruction as Iranians plunge into poverty
The head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce announced on December 30 that Iran was ready to cooperate in the reconstruction of Syria. In comments carried by the Fars state-run news agency, Gholamhossein Shafeie said that Iranian and Syrian statesmen were currently in “comprehensive” cooperation for development in Syria.
